Stan has announced that the second season of Wolf Creek has begun filming in South Australia. Director Greg McLean and star John Jarratt are back in the saddle again for the six part season, which sees Jarratt’s amiable serial killer Mick Taylor joined by (and no doubt horribly murdering) Tess Haubrich (Alien: Covenant), Matt Day (Rake, Paper Giants), Ben Oxenbould (The Kettering Incident), Laura Wheelwright (Animal Kingdom), Stephen Hunter (The Hobbit) and Chris Haywood (Shine).
Chief Content Officer for Stan, Nick Forward, said “Season 1 of Wolf Creek was a worldwide smash hit, thrilling and delighting Stan subscribers in equal measure, and breaking records all over the place. Season 2 will kick things up a notch: Greg McLean once again electrifying audiences with this new, fresh chapter in the iconic Wolf Creek saga. Season 2 is a breathtaking return to the intimate, character-driven style of the original Wolf Creek movie, set over six hour-long episodes of premium drama.”
McLean said “I’m delighted to be continuing my creative collaboration with Stan to bring this exciting new chapter of the Wolf Creek story to Stan subscribers. We’ll join an amazing cast on a road trip of a lifetime, as they must draw on their inner strength to outwit the terrifying Mick Taylor. John Jarratt returns to take Mick’s dark arts to a whole new level, showcasing the beautiful and dangerous landscapes of the remote outback.”
