The initial home release of Mad Max: Fury Road was, let’s be honest, a bit disappointing in the extras department, which is a crying shame considering the scope and ingenuity of the production, plus the various ideas that George Miller and co let slip from time to time. Canny shoppers let the vanilla disc slide and waited for a later announcement, and lo: the time is nigh.
According to Amazon Germany, the entire Mad Max series is getting a six disc “High Octane” collection, which will include all four films, plus loads of extras – four hours of previously unseen bonus material, in fact.
Also included is the long-rumoured “Black & Chrome” edition of Fury Road – the whole film in beautiful black and white. No word yet as to whether this will include an isolated music track, but we can hope.
Also no word as to when or, indeed, if this heaping helping of post-apocalyptic awesomeness will be available in Australia, but it’s got to be sooner rather than later.
