Happening at picturesque Lennox Head in September, Screenworks’ Regional to Global boasts events aplenty and abundant opportunity for industry connection.

Screenworks has just released its full program for Regional to Global 2026, featuring a rich representation of Australian screen industry leaders – including key decision makers and distinctive creative voices – who will gather in the picturesque Lennox Head on NSW’s mid-north coast (just fifteen minutes from Byron Bay) for Australia’s premier regional Screen Forum this September. Regional to Global will this year feature over 60 speakers across 20+ sessions on the main stage and 20+ intimate roundtables, with industry leaders also sitting down for 30+ one-on-ones, all as part of a jam-packed schedule across two days.
Regional to Global will also enjoy some true star power this year, with two special programs featuring two of Australia’s most successful actresses. Teresa Palmer (Hacksaw Ridge, The Clearing and The Family Next Door) will sit down for an exclusive chat with writer and executive producer Samantha Strauss, with whom she collaborated on The Last Anniversary. Much-loved Miranda Tapsell, meanwhile, will be a part of Top End Bub: Meet the Creators to discuss the hit comedy television series, alongside co-creator Joshua Tyler, and producer Rosemary Blight.
The Meet the Creators program will also showcase a host of other films and TV series, including My Brilliant Career (with showrunner Liz Doran and co-executive producer Courtney Wise), Love of An Icon: The Legend of Crocodile Dundee (with Delvene Delaney and Victoria Baldock) and Taste of the Tropics (with actor/comedian/writer Steph Tisdell, writer/producer Caden Pearson and Screen QLD’s Rowena Billard).
Inside a Mock Writers’ Room with writer Sara Khan, writer/showrunner Joshua Tyler and note-taker AJ Kitchener will capture a unique behind-the-scenes look at the writers’ room process and how note-taking captures creative conversations in real time.
This year’s Regional to Global also introduces the inaugural Screenworks’ Lifetime Achievement Award, recognising an outstanding contribution to the Australian screen industry, presented by Screenworks Chairperson, Tracey Mair.
Regional to Global kicks off in just four weeks, with tickets now on sale including access to the full two day Screen Forum on Wednesday 9 & Thursday 10 September, plus evening networking events Screenrights Happy Hour and the Netflix Opening Night Drinks. Single day tickets to the event will also be released on 25 August.
