You know what they say about sequels?! Well, apart from the fact that they’re usually pretty average … they regularly earn much more at the box office than the original film. Which is very true of The Devil Wears Prada 2, which has exceeded what the original earned over its lifetime in Australia, in one weekend… On the flipside, Wolfram, Warwick Thornton’s sequel to his 2017 masterpiece Sweet Country; the original grossed in excess of $1.3m on its release, Wolfram will be lucky to earn $250k. On the bright side, box office was up nearly 50% on last weekend, so cinemas will be happy.
