Do people know that Cate Blanchett is the female lead in Black Bag? We reckon that if they did, rather than MIA-now-back-with-a-vengeance Fassbender, that the results may have been more favourable for Steven Soderbergh’s second film released in cinemas in a month – Presence being the other one. But what do we know? We can bet that meetings took place to discuss which way the film skews and which audience to target. We’ll just leave one argument – females go to the movies in packs, men, less so. In other news, prayers were not answered for wide release Bonhoeffer: Pastor. Spy. Assassin, and no amount of praying can help Australian films at the box office, though it is nice to see The Lost Tiger maintain its screen average from the previous week.
