People still complain about Valentine’s Day being a made up holiday, but apparently Saturday, September 17, was International Batman Day, and nobody really arced up about that. If DC/Warner is allowed to make up holidays, can we? We hereby declare Friday, September 23 to be Buy A Film Critic A Glenmorangie Day.
But we digress. To mark the occasion Zack Snyder tweeted out first look at JK Simmons in character as GCPD Commissioner Jim Gordon as he appears in Justice League. Lo:

Simmons has a brief appearance in Justice League, but will presumably have a larger role in Ben Affleck’s solo Batman film.
Snyder also posted a picture of himself, pondering the use of speed-ramping in his upcoming adaptation of Art Spiegelman’s Maus.
