You should already be excited about The Predator, director Shane Black’s upcoming reboot/sequel to the horror/action franchise that began back in 1987 with the Schwarzenegger-starring Predator, but here’s an extra reason: Benico Del Toro is in talks to star – and presumably not as the monster.
Indeed, Del Toro’s got a busy year or so ahead of him; if he commits to The Predator, that’s one more high profile film on his schedule, in addition to his as-yet-undisclosed role in Star Wars: Episode VIII and his leading turn in Soldado, the sequel to Sicario. Add in a possible return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe following his supporting performance in Guardians of the Galaxy, and that’s a lot of Del Toro in our near future – which is no bad thing.
