Trailer: The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth

Brad Pitt goes full Redford in the new trailer for the officially titled The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth, the 1977-set spin-off from Quentin Tarantno’s glorious 2019 smash Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood. QT penned the script, but has handed the directorial reins over to notorious nitpicker David Fincher, whose attention to period detail (Looking For Mr. Goodbar and Black Sunday posters…nice!) looks just as honed and pitch-perfect as that of the material’s originator. There’s no sign of Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton (we find out why in a very funny dialogue reveal), but there are new players in Elizabeth Debicki (with Aussie accent in full effect), Scott Caan, Yahya Abdul-Mateen III, and Peter Weller. Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood alums Timothy Oliphant and Nicholas Hammond are listed to return. And in happy news for those QT completists who have enjoyed the auteur’s books Cinema Speculation and the Once Upon A Time…In Hollywood novelisation, it has already been announced that a QT-penned novelisation of The Further Mis-Adventures Of Cliff Booth will hit shelves on December 8. The film will drop on Netflix on December 23 (Merry fucking Christmas!) with selected cinema screenings preceding in November.
