It does not seem to happen any time soon in real life, but we have watched it happen with one single edit in the movies. Filmmakers are constantly making it, coming up with their interpretations and doing it in a manner that makes time travel seem possible.

This sci-fi time travel movie is perfect for both kids and adults as it has a lot to teach them both. However, when Makoto Konno realises how her time travelling affects others around her when her disappearance becomes more visible, the story takes a thrilling turn. It is a fun watch with an emotional roller coaster.

Interstellar

Christopher Nolan depicts Einstein’s theory of general relativity and does a fantastic job creating this sci-fi masterpiece. The film explicitly shows the time travel abilities of the crew, which is faster than the speed of light.

The protagonist leaves earth in search of another habitable planet, but to his surprise, he faces some events that lead him to inform the people on Earth to save humanity.

The Time Machine

This movie is based on H. G. Wells’s novel that coined the term time machine. This is an excellent film adapted from a classic story and is performed with perfection. H. G. Wells travels through time to the year A.D. 802,701, where he meets Eloi and Morlocks. He reaches a world that is so different from his own. With a combination of both sci-fi and history, this movie is a great watch.

Edge of Tomorrow

Starring Tom Cruise as William Cage, this time travel masterpiece is based on the Japanese novel All you need is Kill. This is a military fight with an alien race trying to take over the world, and William Cage is stuck in a time loop. As exciting as it is, this is a must time-travel watch on your list.

The Time Traveler’s Wife (2009)

The Time Traveler’s Wife is a science fiction film based on Audrey Niffenegger’s novel of the same name. The male protagonist Henry DeTamble has the power to travel in time, but he cannot control his time travel. He has no command over his ability and travels anytime and anywhere, which is quite frustrating for his wife, Claire Abshire. The characters go through some painful incidents and get complicated with every passing scene.

Back to the Future (1985)

This is an exciting and fun switch where Doc Brown’s DeLorean time device sends Marty McFly back to his parents’ high school year, where his mother develops a crush on him. Marty travels back to 1955 and tries his best to ensure that he does not get stuck in the past forever.

Back to the Future Part II (1989)

In this film, Marty travels to the future in 2015 to ensure that the town is not under the command of biff’s evilness. The film reveals some exciting but questionable scenes, but all you must do is sit back and enjoy the ride.

Deja Vu (2006)

The technology helps the team of federal agents to control the criminal activities and terrorists who’re on the verge of bombing a place. Full of action Déjà vu is a thrilling sci-fi movie that makes time travel seem possible without a doubt.

12 Monkeys (1995)

Terry Gilliam’s 12 Monkeys is about the deadly virus where James Cole is sent back in time to save himself and humanity and mend the past to avoid a horrible future. This film starring Brad Pitt and Christopher Plummer, making this two-hour Science fiction move in time travel seem possible.

Every role seems perfectly written, and the actors rightly cast. This is thrilling fiction and a must-watch.

Primer

Directed by Shane Carruth, Primer is the story of two engineers who discover a time loop and begin to travel a short time. They use it to make money at the stock market but soon find it problematic, making it destructively disturbing as they get stuck in time loops and create multiple versions of themselves. This is a 2004 sci-fi fiction that makes travelling in time seem possible and a must-watch.

Somewhere in Time (1980)

This sci-fi is a time travel movie with a unique plot where a playwright, Christopher Reeve, becomes obsessed with the photograph of a woman from 1912. He gets so obsessed that he travels back in time to find her.

The place where the film was made seems a place (Mackinac Island) from the oldest era as that’s the place where you aren’t allowed to use motor vehicles.
