Ben Affleck has confirmed in an interview that his upcoming Batman film, which he is both directing and starring in, will be simply titled The Batman. That’s a good thing, because after Returns, Forever, …and Robin, and Begins, we were running out of options – The Dark Knight has been spent and it’s hard to imagine Caped Crusader being used outside of the ’60s West/Ward paradigm. Keep it simple and definitive.
Here’s the clip. Affleck hedges a little, but it’s doubtful a better option will come along.
