Shooting in February 2022, Talk to Me is about friends who are able to conjure spirits after finding an ancient embalmed hand. When they push things too far it opens the spirit world proper, and they must decide between the dead and the living.

Starring Sophie Wilde (Eden You Don’t Know Me) and Miranda Otto, the film will also feature Alexandra Jensen (Frayed), Marcus Johnson (The Very Excellent Mr Dundee) and Otis Dhanji (The Unlisted, Aquaman).

Announcements about films being made by RackaRacka date back a number of years, including coming of age action drama Concrete Kings, which received development funding from Screen Australia in 2016. Screen Australia are funding the production of Talk to Me, along with Adelaide Film Festival and Kojo Studios, and UK’s Head Gear Films, which will cashflow the project.

RackaRacka describe making their feature film debut as “the dream of a lifetime… we are committed to making sure Talk to Me is extremely scary, unpredictable and original.”
