Wow, in a creative team-up nobody saw coming (nor likely really wanted), twist-master filmmaker M. Night Shyamalan has adapted the novel Remain by Nicholas Sparks (The Notebook etc) for the big screen with Jake Gyllenhaal and Phoebe Dynevor in the leading roles. A creepy metaphysical romance or something, we hope the big twist here is that there’s a decent reason why M. Night Shyamalan cast two actors who look more like father and daughter than they do romantic partners. Oh, and in very bad news, M. Night Shyamalan looks to have given himself a major supporting role in the film.
