WITH ODESSA A’ZION, BENEDICT WONG, CHERRY JONES, EWAN MITCHELL and ALLISON JANNEY JOINING THE ENSEMBLE CAST.

FONDA, the highly anticipated English-language psychological thriller from Academy Award-winning filmmaker Justine Triet, starts rolling April 2026, and continues to expand its ensemble cast with Odessa A’zion (MARTY SUPREME), Benedict Wong (WEAPONS, 3 BODY PROBLEM), Emmy Award winner Cherry Jones (SUCCESSION, THE HANDMAID’S TALE), and Ewan Mitchell (HOUSE OF THE DRAGON, WUTHERING HEIGHTS), joining previously announced Mia Goth (FRANKENSTEIN), Academy Award winner Allison Janney (I, TONYA, THE DIPLOMAT), Andrew Scott (ALL OF US STRANGERS), Frank Dillane (URCHIN), and Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (CANDYMAN).

The ensemble will take up residence at Fonda, a seemingly idyllic setting that takes audiences on a vertiginous dive into the shifting limits of a sound mind, as grief and obsession take hold.

The film reunites Justine Triet with ANATOMY OF A FALL producers Marie-Ange Luciani (LES FILMS DE PIERRE) and David Thion (LES FILMS PELLÉAS). Belgian company Les Films du Fleuve (ROSETTA, YOUNG MOTHERS, ADAM’S SAKE) is co-producing the film (by producers Delphine Tomson, Jean-Pierre and Luc Dardenne). UK partners House Productions (CONCLAVE, THE ZONE OF INTEREST) and BBC Film have also joined the project as co-producers.

Shooting is scheduled from April to June 2026.

mk2 Films will handle international sales, as well as finance and co-produce, alongside STUDIOCANAL’s Anna Marsh, Francois Mergier and Assia Barge. Nathanaël Karmitz, Elisha Karmitz and Fionnuala Jamison are also credited as producers. STUDIOCANAL is also set to theatrically distribute in its own territories including France, Germany, Italy, Benelux, Poland, Australia, and New Zealand. IPR.VC, with which mk2 Films has a multi-year financing agreement, is also a financier.

Casting by Cynthia Arra (ANATOMY OF A FALL) and Kharmel Cochrane (SALTBURN)
