Dieseln’Dub, the music documentary, features some of Australia’s most beloved artists as they record and tour Midnight Oil’s iconic songs, thirty years after their smash hit Diesel and Dust.

Sydney musician Declan Kelly, who led the vision to reinvent these songs as dub-reggae anthems, and guest artists including Emma Donovan, Pat Powell and Mad Professor, share their insights and wisdom on the meaning these songs still carry, the power of language, the history of reggae music and their own personal stories of life in our multicultural world.

From epic festival stages, into recording studios in Sydney and London, to remote communities in the dusty red centre, the film is a non-stop road trip underscored by dubbed-out stylings of hits like ‘Beds are Burning’, ‘Power and the Passion’, ‘King of the Mountain’ and others.

Stream the doco now at the Melbourne Documentary Film Festival until 31st July.
