UNIVERSAL PICTURES’ IRRESISTIBLE NEW TAKE ON JANE AUSTEN’S TIMELESS CLASSIC ARRIVES IN CINEMAS OCTOBER 15
Universal Pictures is delighted to announce acclaimed actors Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles will visit Sydney this September to celebrate the release of Sense and Sensibility, a charming, witty and deeply relatable story of love and sisterhood.
One of the most exciting and celebrated actors of her generation, BAFTA-nominee Daisy Edgar-Jones has captivated audiences worldwide with standout performances in Normal People, Where the Crawdads Sing, Twisters and On Swift Horses. Joining her is the immensely talented Esmé Creed-Miles, known for her critically acclaimed work in Hanna, Silver Haze, Dark River, and The Chronology of Water. In Sense and Sensibility, the pair bring to life Austen’s beloved Dashwood sisters, Elinor and Marianne, whose contrasting approaches to love and life – one guided by reason, the other by passion – see them navigate societal expectations, romance, heartbreak and ultimately, hope for a happy future.
The Sydney visit will see Edgar-Jones and Creed-Miles participate in a series of media opportunities culminating in the Australian premiere, where the stars will walk the red carpet to celebrate one of the year’s most anticipated literary adaptations.
A tale that has captivated generations with themes that remain as relatable today as ever, Sense and Sensibility also stars Caitríona Balfe, Frank Dillane, Herbert Nordrum with George MacKay and Fiona Shaw. Based on the novel by Jane Austen and adapted for the screen by Diana Reid, the film is directed by Georgia Oakley. Sense and Sensibility is produced by Focus Features and Working Title.
Universal Pictures’ SENSE AND SENSIBILITY will be released in Australian cinemas on October 15.
