Created in collaboration with the award winning performance design company, Movement of the Human, Meremere is a superbly crafted performance documentary of one man’s exceptional journey through international dance, through homelessness to his homecoming and reconnection with whānau and whenua in Aotearoa/New Zealand. It features music by the equally acclaimed musician Eden Mulholland, played live in Melbourne by his brother Jolyon.
Meremere is a strong and compelling performance delivered with strength and artistry. Meremere premiered to rave reviews in 2016 and toured Aotearoa/New Zealand in 2018, 2019 and 2021. Meremere has won multiple awards for Design, Direction, Performance and Sound.
