Now in its sixth year, this program continues to offer one talented young actor the opportunity to study at the acclaimed Film and Television Acting School. The Founder’s Scholarship is a unique award offering one economically disadvantaged student a lifetime opportunity to secure state-of-the-art screen acting training in Australia.
Valued at $35,000 the Founder’s Scholarship covers all tuition fees for the two-year full-time government-accredited 10869NAT Advanced Diploma of Screen Acting over the complete course of two years. The award also includes the production of the Scholarship recipient’s Showreel and Industry Graduation Showcase upon completion of the program. In addition to full subsidisation of tuition fees, the successful applicant will receive mentoring from a range of critically-acclaimed, award-winning actors throughout the duration of their studies.
Founder’s Scholarship 2020 Recipient Veronica Chan who recently graduated in 2021 on what the Founder’s Scholarship has meant to her:
“It’s a dream that I’ve always had, and I’ve never thought that I would be able to pursue. It’s completely changed my life, it’s kind of given me the motivation and drive to see that I can actually pursue this dream that I love and this passion that I have. It’s given me a whole new career path and perspective of what my future could be like, and it’s totally different to what it was before. It’s given me a new potential future.”
