Occupation, Luke Sparke’s hugely anticipated follow-up to Red Billabong, will finally make its public debut, having secured the opening night slot at the Brisbane leg of the Monster Fest Traveling Sideshow!
Starring Dan Ewing (Red Billabong, Home and Away), Temuera Morrison (Star Wars, Once Were Warriors), Stephany Jacobsen (Revenge, Battlestar Galactica), Rhiannon Fish (The 100, Home and Away), Jacqueline McKenzie (Romper Stomper, The 4400) and national treasure Bruce Spence (Star Wars, Mad Max 2), the film screens at Event Cinemas Myer Centre on Friday, May 25, followed by a cast and crew Q&A panel.
For those who came in late, the film follows a ragtag bunch of country townfolk and unlucky interlopers who are forced to band together and fight back after an alien invasion decimates the globe. If you’re thinking Red Dawn by way of Independence Day – but Australian – you’re on the right track:
this screening comes well ahead of Occupation‘s national roll out via Pinnacle Films, so if you;re keen to get an early look at this future classic, book early to avoid disappointment.
