“It’s a dream coming true to be working on a story that connects to me in so many ways, with such an amazing cast and crew, in the place I call home,” said writer/director Kelly Schilling (MaveriX, Gymnastics Academy: A Second Chance).
A road trip drama, With or Without You stars Melina Vidler (Love in Bloom), who pulls her alcoholic mother (Marta Dusseldorp) away from temptation to relocate to an idyllic location, and on the road trip there they meet a West African refugee played by Albert Mwangli (Blueback).
“It’s such an honest, unique and personal story and has the power to move people in uplifting ways. We’re thrilled to be making Kelly’s debut feature in and around Adelaide,” said experienced producers Su Armstrong (Angel of Mine) and Carolyn Johnson (The Last Goldfish).
Expect With or Without You to premiere at Adelaide Film Festival in 2024.
