When The Doctor Blake Mysteries TV shows came to an end in 2018, Nadine and I faced two options, we could simply say goodbye to one another, or, we could start exploring ways to continue our creative partnership. We went for option two.
We started discussing the types of storytelling that we both enjoyed and discovered a mutual love for the classics. We researched suitable writers from the past with a view to turning their stories into audio adventures that we would then make available on Patreon. We continually found ourselves being drawn towards female authors of murder mystery from the 1870s to 1930s.

What intrigued us was not only how many female authors were actually published in that period, but equally how many of their works simply disappeared from popular fiction, some for over a century. From our personal discovery and love of these lost tales, The Forgotten Mysteries was born.
We then set about the tricky (but exciting) business of compiling audio volumes of these stories with a view to breathing new life into the forgotten words written by these hugely talented women so long ago.
We chose to launch The Forgotten Mysteries on the Patreon platform because its community driven ethos and approach really appealed to us. It also allowed us to present our listeners with a range of membership tiers. The highest tier opens up the library completely and those patrons will have access to three monthly podcasts along with our audio mysteries and plenty of opportunities to chat with us directly.
The platform also allows the audience to connect in a new and exciting way, through a wide range of murder, mystery content and competitions.
Head to Patreon to find out more about The Forgotten Mysteries.

Sounds very exciting. we can’t wait to start on them .
