Stephan Elliott, director of The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, will begin principal photography on his latest film, Flammable Children, on the Gold Coast on Monday, October 16. the film reunites Elliott with is Priscilla star, Guy Pearce, and producer, Al Clark, who is producing with Jamie Hilton of See Pictures.
Set in a beachside community in the ’70s, Flammable Children is described as a “colourful satire” and co-stars Kylie Minogue and Radha Mitchell, along with Asher Keddie (Offspring), Julian McMahon (Nip/Tuck), Jeremy Sims (Last Cab to Darwin), plus newcomers Atticus Robb and Darcey Wilson.
“When I was finally ready to write it, this script jumped out of my head fully formed,” Elliott said. “So I appreciate having the opportunity of bringing it to life with such a terrific bunch of collaborators, some of whom I’ve known forever, others that I’m working with for the first time. And, of course, a dream cast of Australian actors who, like me, remember the world I’m describing.”
