Not even an ‘It’s Showtime’ star tour could help Mortal Kombat II topple Devil Wears Prada and Michael at the top of the charts! Now we get why Hollywood bangs on about four-quadrant movies … and, whilst we’re at it, is MK2 an Australian film? We’ll wait until AACTA tells us. At least the is-it-Australian-or-isn’t-it blockbuster came out on top against other week 1 releases, The Sheep Detectives and the Billie Eilish concert film co-directed by Jim Cameron, but not by heaps.
