How telling that locally made dino feature Primitive War charts just below Jurassic World Rebirth on almost 50 less screens in Week 1 of release, with JWR in week 8 of release, and ultimately going on to gross 60x more in cinemas. The re-release of Chopper barely registered, even though it played on as many screens as Primitive War. And the big question, does comedy work in cinemas? Well, not quite the result that Paramount would have desired for The Naked Gun, even though it landed at the top of the charts.
