Spielberg’s return to scifi (no, not his third scifi, ABC TV, the 9th by our count) saw Disclosure Day jump straight to the top of the charts on almost 500 screens. Obsession, meanwhile, continues to pull the punters in, with only an 11% drop from last weekend! Korean zombie fest Colony opened strongly on 78 screens, and it should be interesting to see if it emulates Train to Busan (from the same director) in building from week to week. Despite strong reviews and leaning into the tradition that made The Castle and Kenny such Aussie classics, How to Talk Australians: The Movie is unfortunately DOA – crazy that such a broad comedy would only open on 26 screens, or is it just us? Now, if only it was a horror movie…
