You should have already been excited about The Woods because hey! Adam Wingard! You’re Next was great and The Guest was even greater (and it didn’t even get a cinematic release in Australia) so anything he’s setting his hand to is worth keeping an eye on. Now, from San Diego Comic Con comes the big reveal: The Woods ain’t The Woods, it’s Blair Witch, a belated second sequel to the smash hit 1999 micro-budget horror flick, The Blair Witch Project.
Mapping onto the model of the original very closely (but with an obviously higher budget) Blair Witch follows an expedition of young folk into the woods in search of the long lost trio of film students from the original. You know what comes next.

Blair Witch is due in Australian cinemas on September 15, 2016.
