Wilson trailer

March 14, 2017
It's no volleyball, it's the new dark comedy from the writer of Ghost World and the director of The Skeleton Twins.

Premiering at Sundance 2017 and snapped up by Fox Searchlight, Wilson is adapted by Daniel Clowes from his own graphic novel. It stars Woody Harrelson as a middle aged loser who finds out that he has a teenage daughter (Isabella Amara who played the 15-year-old Melissa McCarthy in The Boss, just FYI). Laura Dern plays the unknowing girl’s mum who is reunited with Woody all these years later. And the adventure begins! Also in the cast are Judy Greer and Cheryl Hines.

With a script sure to be full of quirky and brash observations by Clowes (Ghost World, Art School Confidential), captured by the dark but humorous stylings of director Craig Johnson (the little seen True AdolescentsThe Skeleton Twins) and embodied by the highest functioning stoner in Hollywood, Wilson goes straight to the top of our must-see list for 2017.

It’s in cinemas May 25.
