Marvel’s lost it, nobody cares anymore, they’ve jumped the shark, who the hell is Wonder Man…blah blah blah. Yeah, yeah, we’ve heard all the naysayers declaring the death of one of the biggest cinematic money-spinners and pop cultural forces in the past few decades, but Marvel is just too big to, you know, completely lose its super powers. And this trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day (which sees Shang-Chi and Wonder Man director Destin Daniel Cretton in for Jon Watts) is pretty damn encouraging. This run of Spider-Man flicks has been uniformly solid, and this one – with added Punisher and Bruce Banner just to spice things up – looks set to follow suit.
