The DC Universe continues to fragment and detour stylistically with the upcoming Clayface, a gruesome body horror miasma that looks to belong in a whole different universe to Supergirl and even Matt Reeves’ The Batman. Directed by horror-leaning UK filmmaker James Watkins (Eden Lake, Speak No Evil), Clayface is based on the eponymous Batman comic book villain, and follows a rising actor (Tom Rhys Harries) who turns to radical surgery when he is disfigured by a vicious mobster.
