The Australian Directors Guild Awards Are In!

Sherpa, Tanna and Peter Allen - Not the Boy Next Door pick up prizes.

Jennifer Peedom, director of the excellent Sherpa: Trouble On Everest, took home Best Direction in a Documentary Feature at the ADG Awards in Melbourne on Friday, May 6.

Hosted by Nazeem Hussein, the 2016 ceremony also saw awards go to Bentley Dean and Martin Butler (Best Direction in a Feature Film – Tanna), veteran director Rachel Perkins (Best Direction in a Telemovie – Redfern Now- Promise Me), and stuntman/actor/director Nash Edgerton (Best Direction in a Music Video for Bob Dylan’s The Night We Called it a Day). Sue Brooks received the ADG/DGA Finders Award, while Geoffrey Nottage won the Michael Carson Award for excellence in television drama direction.
