What’s the first film that you can remember seeing? “Bambi, when I was really little.”
Who are your most admired actors and actresses? “Johnny Depp…he is a legend.”
Do you have a preferred genre or type of film that you enjoy most? “I absolutely love movies about vampires.”
What would you rate as the worst movie you have ever seen? “The worst movie I have seen of late was Swimfan.”
Have you ever seen a film that you watched and disliked, but then ended up appreciating? “Vanilla Sky. The more I thought about it after I saw it, the more I appreciated it.”

When at the movies, what are your munchies of choice? “Lollies. The pineapples are the best.”
Do you stay for the credits, or walk out as soon as the lights come up? “Usually I leave as soon as the movie is over unless the outtakes are good.”
Are there any swimmers that remind you of a certain movie star? “Amanda Beard from the USA reminds me of Angelina Jolie and Matt Dunn from Australia is like George Clooney.”
Have any of your coaches ever used a film to inspire you? “No, not that I can think of.”
Any Aussie films that stand out for you? “I loved Moulin Rouge.”
The worst sequel to a great original? “Definitely Grease 2.”
Even though you are an adult, do you get into any kids’ movies? “Yes, I love most of them actually.”
If Hollywood was to make a movie about Australian swimming, who would play the following: yourself, Don Talbot, Michael Klim, Grant Hackett and Susie O’Neill? “That’s too hard! I’m friends with everyone, so I’ll have to pass on that question!”
Have you heard enough gossip in the swimming (or fashion!) worlds to make a motion picture? “Yes, I could make a career out of it… but I won’t.”
