Star of The Greasy Strangler Refused Australian Visa

Monster Fest announces changes to guest line up.

Michael St Michaels, star of schlock shocker The Greasy Strangler, has been refused entry into Australia because of a 1970 cannabis conviction, necessitating changes to both Monster Fest and the subsequent Greasy Downunder National Tour.

Instead of St Michaels, Eastbound and Down star Elizabeth De Razzo will join co-star Sky Elobar at the festival and promotional tour, flying the flag for the brutally offensive horror comedy.

Neil Foley of Monster Pictures issued a statement, saying, “Whilst we are hugely disappointed not to have Michael on the tour we are over the moon to announce Elizabeth as his replacement. Playing Janet, she is one third of the lead trio in the film and she all but steals the show with her hilarious, raunchy and bold performance. To say we are delighted to have her on board is an understatement in the extreme.”

Unfortunately, this means that Adelaide will now be cut from the tour due to a scheduling conflict.

Monster Fest runs at Melbourne’s Lido Cinema from November 24 – 27. For more info, head over to the official site.
