Streaming service Stan have announced that four new series are currently in development, and will be joining Wolf Creek and No Activity in their slate of original productions.

Merchants of Misery, created by No Activity‘s Trent O’Donnell and journalist Bryce Corbett, is a vicious satire of the modern media world,  following a young talent agent who must deal with a host of highly strung clients when she inherits her father’s talent management company.

Created by Matt Okine, The Other Guy sees a successful radio host’s life turned upside down when he finds out his girlfriend of ten years is pregnant to his best friend.

Created by and starring Damon Herriman (Justified), All Thumbs sees three social outcasts cross paths in their separate attempts to conquer their failings and find love.

Finally, comedy trio Aunty Donna bring us Chaperones, in which the hapless threesome are forced to take care of a child star.

“This slate demonstrates Stan’s rapidly growing investment in original programming,” Chief Content Officer Nick Forward noted. “Confirming our standing as a vital, exciting new player in the Australian production landscape. We are working with the best creatives in the country to develop world-class content, with an eye on the international market.”
