Fair warning – get the tissues handy.
Last night, at a 25th anniversary screening of Disney’s Beauty and the Beast at New York’s Lincoln Centre, the audience were treated to the great Angela Lansbury (Mrs Potts!) singing the Oscar-winning title song. And yes, that is co-writer Alan Menken on piano.
Angela Lansbury is 91 years old next month, and she hasn’t lost a step. This is wonderful.
