Launching August 6th, Rising Wolf will be available across digital carriers in the US (where it will also receive a theatrical release) and Canada, and in the UK and Ireland from August 9 with access coming via streaming services iTunes/Apple TV, Google Play, Amazon and a number of regional VOD providers. The film will also release theatrically in Japan in 2022.
“It’s difficult to get an independent film made, seen, wanted, especially one like this and it being an Australian made film,” explains Furlong in a recent statement. “But it’s even harder to get it distributed, especially by a Class A distributor like Samuel Goldwyn Films. So I’m honoured they liked it.”
Staring Charlotte Best (Tidelands), Rising Wolf is a stylistic thriller centred around a young environmentalist who wakes, having been kidnapped, trapped in the elevator of a super high-rise building where she finds herself at the mercy of her tormentors.
