Renee Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey head to Sydney to Deliver Bridget Jones’s Baby

Heralding the the third film in the hugely popular Bridget Jones series, stars Renee Zellweger and Patrick Dempsey are heading our way. the pair will be in Sydney to promote Bridget Jones’s Baby, which opens in Australia on September 15.

The film sees every-woman Bridget, whose fairy tale romance with Mark Darcy (Colin Firth) appears to have been lacking in the “happy ending” department, seeking romance with dashing American, Jack (Dempsey) – and apparently Darcy, too, because when the titular baby comes along, there’s some confusion as to the poor mite’s paternity. Emma Thompson’s along as a snarky OB/GYN, and seems to be stealing most of the best lines, judging by the trailer.

Zellweger and Dempsey will be in town on August 21. More news as it emerges.
