True Rhymes, the spine-chilling Australian documentary series that uncovers classic nursery rhymes’ dark and unsettling origins, is now streaming on Amazon Prime in the United States and the United Kingdom.

“For so many of us, nursery rhymes were a part of childhood, but most people have no idea about the dark and messed up origins,” said Mark deCaux, host of the series. “This show takes these familiar rhymes and unpacks their bizarre histories in a fascinating and unsettling way.”

Produced by Six Foot Four Productions and filmed at Star Avenue Studios in Adelaide, South Australia, the series blends folklore, history, and investigative storytelling for a fun but educational series.

Hosted by Mark deCaux, internationally recognised as The Bush Bee Man, True Rhymes has captivated audiences since its Australian debut in 2024. Now, its expansion to Amazon Prime brings its unique storytelling to a global audience.

“Bringing True Rhymes to international audiences is a huge milestone for us,” said John deCaux, co-creator and director of the series. “What started as a deep dive into the sinister side of childhood rhymes by my dad has grown into a show that resonates with audiences around the world. We’re excited for viewers in the US and UK to experience the eerie tales behind these familiar stories.”

South Australia has gained global recognition for its high-quality productions, world-class studios, and skilled crews, making it a sought-after destination for filmmakers. From major film and television projects to groundbreaking documentaries, the state continues to foster compelling storytelling—True Rhymes being the latest addition to its growing slate.

Now available for streaming on Amazon Prime in the US and UK, True Rhymes invites audiences to explore the hidden darkness behind some of the world’s most well-known nursery rhymes.
