Even with The Switchblade Sisterhood being Davo Hardy’s sixth feature film, he has been compelled to postpone his latest premiere to accommodate the availability of his cast and crew, along with their esteemed guests, in an effort to ensure everybody can share in the spoils of the film’s launch. Sometimes dates get planned and the ripple effect into other people’s schedules causes more chaos than jubilation. Sometimes plans change so that more people can attend and enjoy the outcome of what they have worked so hard for.
“No matter how established or accomplished I become as a filmmaker,” says director, Davo Hardy, “I cannot overlook the people who show up and support what I do. I wouldn’t be where I am without these people and even if I were, it would be a hollow victory without them.”
To that end, Mr. Hardy has postponed the premiere of The Switchblade Sisterhood from Saturday September 30th to its new date; Friday, November 10th.
Ticket sales for the November 10th event will be the same as the original tickets for September 30th. Prices will not change and present ticket holders will not be charged extra.
The Switchblade Sisterhood will premiere on Friday, November 10th 2023 at the Chauvel Cinema from 6:30pm.
