Are you Ready to Rumble? Pitch’d Battle is back, welcoming both current and aspiring screen practitioners to join the creative battlefield.
Now in its third year, Pitch’d Battle is a short film pitching competition designed to encourage and foster the skills of proper pitching and development.
Regardless of experience and/or study we invite you, in teams of one to three people, to join in the fight. All you need to do is submit a one-pager that showcases your short film (or short proof of concept) original idea inspired by this year’s given prompt: ‘Meet Your Maker.’
Once submissions close, our ‘Selection Staff’ consisting of producers, writers, and creatives’ anonymously evaluate each submission and select what they believe to be the eight strongest one-pagers. The teams behind these one-pagers become the eight ‘Finalists’.
These ‘Finalists’ are tasked with creating Pitch Decks based off the invaluable feedback provided to them by the ‘Selection Staff.’
The Pitch’d Battle: Final Showdown is set to take place on Friday, the 24th of July 2026. Here the ‘Finalists’ will battle it out as they present their 3-5 minute pitches, and the accompanying pitch decks, to a panel of judges, industry professionals with years of experience, and a live audience.
The winners will receive a fantastic array of prizes that will assist them in taking their pitch beyond the battlefield.
Pitch’d Battle is a chance to collaborate with filmmakers, explore your creativity, and receive valuable feedback form industry professionals in a safe and friendly environment.
