Multi-Arts Pavilion, mima (MAP mima) invites you to submit a work to the Pavilion Film Festival, a new international film festival taking place in Lake Macquarie, Australia.

The Pavilion Film Festival celebrates bold, creative, and innovative filmmaking across a range of forms. We are currently seeking submissions from filmmakers working across three categories: Short Film, Experimental Film, and 360-Degree Immersive Film. Films must be under 15 minutes in length.

Selected works will be presented at MAP mima, a contemporary arts venue located in Speers Point Park on the shores of Lake Macquarie. The festival will showcase films within our unique exhibition and screening environments, including our 360-degree projection cube, offering audiences an engaging and immersive cinematic experience.

We are particularly interested in works that explore new visual languages, experimental storytelling, and innovative approaches to the moving image. Filmmakers from Australia and around the world are encouraged to apply.

Submissions are now open, and the deadline for entries is 10 July 2026.

Films can be submitted via FilmFreeway at the following link: https://filmfreeway.com/PavilionFilmFestival

We would be delighted to consider your work for the inaugural Pavilion Film Festival and look forward to discovering the diverse and compelling films being created by artists and filmmakers working today.
