Premiere Fund Round 72: Submissions Open Soon
Now seeking premieres for MIFF 2026, Round 72 of the MIFF Premiere Fund will open on 10 February 2025 – with applications closing on 7 March 2025.
Supported by VicScreen, the MIFF Premiere Fund champions “Stories That Need Telling” by co-financing new, quality Australian feature narrative and documentary films that go on to premiere at MIFF. To date, the MIFF Premiere Fund has supported more than 100 films, including Memoir of a Snail, Shayda, Ellis Park, Left Write Hook and This Is Going to Be Big.
Special congratulations to Memoir of a Snail director and producer Adam Elliot and producer Liz Kearney for their film’s nomination for Best Animated Feature at the 97th Academy Awards.
Now in its second decade, the MIFF Premiere Fund continues to deepen MIFF’s relationship with filmmaking talent and builds a pipeline of quality Australian content for the festival.
