From orchard to laboratory, the remarkable story of the Queen Garnet, Australia’s antioxidant powerhouse is set to reach a global audience, cementing its status as one of the nation’s most exciting science-backed superfoods.

The Queen Garnet and its premium nutrition range PurQ will feature in the new digital series Azza & Zoc Do Earth, produced by Wild State, the multi-platform production company founded by Chris Hemsworth.

Launched in February 2026 on Chris Hemsworth’s YouTube channel, the series which attracted 11 million views in the first month, follows Chris sending his two best mates, Azza and Zoc, around the world to uncover the science, stories and breakthroughs shaping modern health and wellbeing. Each episode explores a different topic, and the Queen Garnet episode brings the journey home to Australia.

A plum with a powerful story
Often described as Australia’s “super plum”, the Queen Garnet has attracted global attention for its exceptionally high antioxidant levels, the result of years of Australian research and innovation.

In the episode airing 27th April 2026, Azza and Zoc embark on what Chris calls a “plum assignment”, discovering how this deep purple fruit is grown, studied and transformed into next-generation nutrition products.

The documentary captures the full journey of the Queen Garnet, including:

  • The sustainable orchard practices behind its cultivation
  • The science that underpins its antioxidant potency
  • Ongoing research exploring its potential health benefits
  • How the fruit is evolving into modern nutritional formats such as PurQ

From research breakthrough to everyday nutrition
Developed through years of scientific research, the Queen Garnet continues to be studied for its potential role in supporting overall health and wellbeing, a rare example of Australian agriculture and science working hand in hand.

PurQ was created to extend the benefits of the fruit beyond its short harvest window, transforming freeze-dried Queen Garnet into convenient blends designed to make its antioxidant power accessible year-round.

“We are incredibly proud to see the Queen Garnet story told on a global platform,” says Ashleigh Cox, Marketing Manager at Nutrafruit.

“This episode showcases the full journey, from the growers who nurture the fruit to the researchers who continue to uncover its potential, and highlights why the Queen Garnet is becoming recognised as a true Australian superfood.”

Showcasing Australia’s science-led food future
The feature not only shines a light on the Queen Garnet but also reinforces Australia’s growing reputation as a leader in premium, science-led agricultural innovation, where research, sustainability and nutrition converge.

Azza & Zoc Do Earth is available to watch on Chris Hemsworth’s YouTube channel, with new episodes released fortnightly.
