“The launch of SXSW Sydney, which is scheduled to run during our traditional festival dates, coupled with our successful experience of hosting Antenna in February 2022, led us to believe that changing the dates would better serve our audience and our partners” said Festival Director David Rokach

The Festival remains committed to highlighting the finest non-fiction cinema and exposing audiences to the limitless potential of the genre. Antenna will also continue to host seminars, talks, panel discussions, an industry conference (DocTalk), and professional development programs.

Entries are now open for the 12th edition and are being accepted through FilmFreeway in two categories:

• Feature Documentary Competition which comes with two cash-prizes totalling 10,000 AUD. 7,500 AUD for the ‘Best Feature Documentary Award’ winner and 2,500 AUD for the ‘Special Jury Award’ winner. These prizes are sponsored by Macquarie University.

• Australian Short Documentary Competition which comes with a 5,000 AUD cash prize, sponsored by the Australian Film Television & Radio School.
