Palace Cinemas will open a new cinema venue in Central Park Mall, Chippendale, it was announced today. The new location is in addition to the already-announced Double Bay cinema, bringing the number of Palace locations in Sydney to five.
“We have a passion for developing new opportunities within the cinema industry which allow us to engage with local communities throughout Australia.” said Antonio Zeccola, Palace Cinemas’ Executive Chairman.
Glue Store Chairman, Hilton Seskin, one of the mall’s retailers, is enthusiastic about the possibilities. “It’s a great addition to the centre,” he remarked. “We are lucky enough to have the benefit of extended trading hours here every night until 8 pm, so a cinema is a great compliment to this. It’s going to encourage more people to come in at those later hours after work which is also great for retail.”
The 14 screen complex is set to open on Level 3 in late 2017.
