The new Aussie short, The Kindness Of Strangers, has had its premiere at Sydney’s Entertainment Quarter, screening successfully to a near-capacity room. Starring Martin Sacks (Blue Heelers, Underbelly) and Miranda Tapsell (Love Child, The Sapphires), Ben O’Toole (Hacksaw Ridge, The Water Diviner, Love Child), and Raelee Hill (Water Rats, Farscape, The Final Winter), and written and directed by Ben Dickinson, The Kindness Of Strangers follows the story of a young woman who is stranded alone in the middle of the night, and is approached by a man offering to help her. Can she trust the stranger in front of her, or should she take her chances with whatever might be lurking out in the darkness? The Kindness Of Strangers will have its first festival screening next month at Tasmania’s Breath Of Fresh Air Festival, which is November 10 – 13.
