Look, does the plot even matter? Really? Okay, here’s what we can glean: someone wants John Wick to kill someone (possibly many someones). John doesn’t want to, because “he’s not that guy any more (lies make baby Jesus cry, John). So John’s would-be employee tries to have John killed. Cue horrific amounts of gunfire.
We could be off on a few details, but plot is not important here. What is important? Pistol drills! Black suits! Muzzle flashes! John Leguizamo! Ian McShane! Laurence Fishburne! Common and Ruby Rose, even! The first John Wick took a long look at the last fifteen years of American action films and muttered “you’re doing it all wrong.” – let’s hope the next installment impresses just as much.
