Well, here it is, our first full-length Justice League trailer, and it’s a heaping helping of kick-ass fun. The tone is notably lighter than the grim dirge that was Batman V Superman – there are even jokes, guys! Honest-to-god one-liners. Even Batfleck gets to be funny.
There are still a few worrying elements – Cyborg still looks like a hot mess, for one thing – but let’s accentuate the positive. Ezra Miller’s Barry Allen/Flash is charming and goofy, Affleck is still a great Batman, and whoever decided to cast JK Simmons as Commissioner Gordon deserves a medal. However, anyone with eyes can see that Jason Momoa’s bro-tastic Aquaman is the highlight. We’ll never get sick of that shot of him surfing on the Batmobile.
Justice League is in cinemas from November 16.
