Prolific production company Breathless Films (Birdeater, Lonesome) has announced that they are deep in production on absurdist comedy horror Forever Young in Colo Valley in the Hawkesbury region of NSW.
Written and directed by Josh Mullins and Ulysses Oliver, Forever Young centres on Tom (Travis Jeffery), who discovers that he has the organs of a 70 year old, leading him to join a cult run by Peter (Socratis Otto), promising the cult’s members that they can be reborn as 6 year olds… As things become chaotic, Tom befriends Peter’s daughter May (Ayesha Madon), forming an unlikely alliance. Paul Hughes, Gareth Davies, Vanessa Moltzen, Gabby Chan and Luke Jai fill out the cast.

Kate Cornish is shooting the film, with Flora Hadaway on production design and CC Williams on costume design.
“We’ve drawn on our own feelings of redundancy and ageing disgracefully,” says Ulysses Oliver (Love Road), who is also one of the principles at Breathless Films.
“Abandonment, loss, rejection, fear of ageing and dying – everyone has these anxieties, but the way we handle them as an adult can differ, and sometimes leads to terrible things,” added Josh Mullins.
