Food always grabs attention! Be it any situation in the movie, it is one of the most visually treating elements in any scene. Here are some of the movies with the most tantalising food scenes according to ScreenBinge.
The Most Mouth-Watering Scenes From Movies
Ratatouille
The culinary protagonist “Ratatouille” is based on the renowned chef. Usually, food is typically the least important thing in animated films. Ratatouille by Pixar has changed the idea from fine French cuisine to scrumptious animated cuisine. In this foodie lovers animated film, the production team has brought animated food to life so much that it actually makes you crave it. Thomas Keller, the iconic restaurant owner behind the French Washer and Per Se, had a huge hand.
Chef
Chef divides viewers with some devotional people who think it is a deep message to independent chefs—and other people who deride it as an extra-cheese, half-baked “nom-com.” However, until the character of Sofia Vergara is over, audiences agree that the food porn shown is orgasmic. Even a simple picture of a sandwich on the stove makes your mouth water. Oh and you can enhance your streaming experience by following these tips.
Matilda
The 1996 Matilda chocolate cake should not make our mouth water. It is completely wrong, it is made with the “sweat and blood” of an old sniveling lunch lady served by a masochistic director before an auditorium full of compassionate children. Despite the oddities, it was creepily attractive to watch Bruce Bogtrotter fill in his mouth with his sweet little paws and we can’t help it because the cake looks extremely appetising.
Pulp Fiction
Only limited scenes in Quentin Tarantino’s films have carved themselves into culinary lore, including Samuel L. Jackson’s hamburger scene. For those who do not know, this tantalising scene features two assassins, portrayed by Jackson and John Travolta in a fast food restaurant. Jackson then eats their food while giving an unexpected food analysis.
The Lunchbox
This Indian culinary film is the Kama Sutra of food porn. Basically, a girl sends home-made lunch boxes to her husband via the Mumbai Dabbawala system, which includes cycling couriers supplying food to clients all across the city. However, her luscious self-made meals end up in an elderly widower’s house accidentally. To put it mildly, her delicious food inspires retired individuals to look for the roots of such delicacy.
Eat Drink Man Woman
The Chinese “Book Of Rites” says that “man’s key urges are to eat, drink, and have sex,” and Ang Lee’s Taiwanese new-age film is named after it. It’s also no wonder that food and sex are intertwined with spicy beef noodles in this family comedy. EDMW eats are less aphrodisiac than the sticks used by the elderly patriarch to maintain his family in his lifetime and support his daughter in pursuing her life’s dreams.
Parasite
What are the desires of South Korea’s elite? Ram-Don, a speedball of two instant noodle packages in a tub, is one of the most delicious dishes. In the film, Oscar winner Bong Joon-ho’s platter contains numerous slices of high-end Wagyu beef, symbolising the conflict between rich and poor in the film.
Julie & Julia
Julie’s narration during this scene makes it seem like a cooking show as she mentions all the tiny details while cooking this Beef bourguignon. As the beef simmers on the pan, the sound and sight captured and created here make you crave for this popular dish. As if this alone wasn’t enough, Julie also prepares raspberry Bavarian cream which looks like heaven on a plate!
Pulp Fiction
A five-dollar milkshake is not expensive today, and does depend on where you’re getting it from, but back in 1994, $5 was a big deal, especially for a milkshake. However, judging by the facial expressions on John Travolta’s face, it sure tells us that it was well worth it!
Marie Antoinette
It is a luxurious life to wear a sophisticated dress and to have complete dessert buffets at your disposal; the food in this film seems quite tasty. The macaroons seem very sweet and delicious. The film shows many sweets, all of which only the best chefs seem to have prepared. Marie Antoinette definitely does create a craving for such cuisines.
The Help
Minna is surprised again when Celia’s husband, Johnny, has a home-cooked meal to surprise her. The Southern Delicacies on the table include pumpkin pie, ham, and fried chicken. It seems delicious because the table contains a lot of attractive food. A plate of food strengthened Minny’s resolve to take her kids out of their violent household. It’s a warm and hearty sight, surrounded by a delicious buffet.
Harry Potter And The Sorcerer’s Stone
To have a massive feast come out of nowhere must be one of the most amazing things wizards can do. As a whole buffet appeared out of nowhere, Harry, the teaching staff, and even the spectators were swept away. When there’s a lot of good food in front of them, Ron’s silly face looks at the drumsticks and that’s just how any kid would react. French fries, mashed potatoes, corn, and even turkey are on the menu. It’s a delicious Thanksgiving meal that takes no preparation. When you’re dropping your head into a bowl of mashed potatoes, it’s easy to overlook how scary Hogwarts can be. If you’re a true Potterhead then you should definitely check out these 5 most paused scenes from Harry Potter movies.
