The great Edward James Olmos is returning to the mean and rain-slick streets of future Los Angeles. According to The Hollywood Reporter, Olmos has been cast in Denis Villeneuve’s Blade Runner 2049, reprising the role of Gaff, the nattily-dressed, origami-obsessed presumably human counterpart to Harrison Ford’s Rick Deckard.
It first came to light in an interview Olmos did with TheTrend, saying “”My role is like it was in the original – that time I only had four scenes, in this I only have one. But again, it’s a poignant little scene.”
And that’s all we’ve got! Speculate wildly until we see the film on October 5.
