It’s only a couple of weeks until the highly anticipated Hunt for the Wilderpeople finally makes it to Australian screens, and Brisbane fans are getting the opportunity to see it first with director Taika Waititi (What We Do in the Shadows, Boy) and star Julian Dennsion (Paper Planes).
The Australian premiere takes place at Event Cinemas Garden City, Mt Gravatt, on Sunday, May 22, from 3.15pm, complete with pre-screening festivities and an after-show Q&A with Waititi and Dennison. And why Queensland? Most likely because Waititi is currently there shooting Thor: Ragnarok for Marvel, which makes it a shorter work commute than a Sydney screening.
Tickets for the general public go on sale from May 12 via Event Cinemas.
